TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Introduction
Welcome to Pure Piano. By enrolling in our piano lessons, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
2. Lesson Fees
Lesson fees are determined based on the tutor's experience, lesson duration, and whether the lessons are conducted in-person or online.
Payment is required in advance on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on agreement between the tutor and the client.
Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards, bank transfer, Paypal, and cash.
3. Scheduling and Cancellations
Lessons are scheduled at a mutually agreed-upon time between the tutor and the student.
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in the full lesson fee being charged, except for medical reasons, in that case a medical certificate would have to be provided.
In the event of a tutor's cancellation, the lesson will be rescheduled at a time convenient for both parties.
4. Lesson Format
Lessons can be conducted either in-person or online via a video conference platform (such as Zoom, Skype, Google Meet...). It is the student's responsibility to ensure they have a suitable device and internet connection for online lessons.
5. Punctuality
Students are expected to be on time for their lessons. Tutors will wait up to 15 minutes past the scheduled start time. After this period, the lesson may be forfeited without a refund.
If a student arrives late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time.
6. Practice and Progress
Regular practice is essential for progress. Tutors will provide guidance on how much and what to practice between lessons.
The pace of progress will vary depending on the student's commitment, practice habits, and natural ability.
7. Materials and Resources
Tutors will recommend or provide necessary books and materials. The cost of these materials is the responsibility of the student.
Digital resources may be provided when applicable.
8. Health and Safety (for In-Person Lessons)
For in-person lessons, both the student and the tutor agree to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines, including those related to COVID-19.
If a student or tutor feels unwell, the lesson should be rescheduled to ensure the safety of all parties.
9. Liability
Pure Piano and its tutors are not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during lessons or while using any recommended materials or equipment.
Students or their guardians agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pure Piano and its tutors from any claims arising out of participation in lessons.
10. Termination of Lessons
Either party may terminate the lesson agreement with one month’s notice.
Any prepaid lessons not yet taken will be refunded, minus a 15% cancellation fee.
